Baan Krud

About 140 kilometers south of Hua Hin, or 370 kilometers south of Bangkok, there is a little pearl of a village called Baan Krud. The village does not offer neither great night life nor shopping centre but offers a very idyllic and charming place which is hard to find among the Thai holiday destinations.

While Baan Krud lacks of business life, it offers peaceful and relaxing beaches. Along the village, you find a beautiful white sand beach more than 10 kilometers. If you are really “unlucky”, you find about 15 other people on the beach at the same time. Usually you have it all to yourself.

On the weekend, the village changes slightly when the large tourist coaches with Thais who go down to the centre for weekend and business trips come to the village. However, you hardly notice the many people more than at the hotel. You occasionally can hear a party taking place but it won’t bother you significantly! From Baan Krud, it is possible to get to the island Koh Talu where you find good snorkeling places.

Remember you should have a little dictionary if the trip goes to Baan Krud. Not many Thais in the area speak or understand English!
